Great way to start the new year in this beautiful mountain escape. Three generations spent the days skiing (Skicooper and Keystone), tubing (Frisco) and sledding (Breckenridge ) and our nights eating and conversing in this beautiful house. We loved the location to so many activities. We had stayed here in the summer and wanted to try a snow visit. We loved it and hope to start next year off the same way.
In mid February I had a girls vacation at the Morning Star Lodge in Breckenridge with my two daughters, a long time friend, and her daughter. We were impressed, it felt like a home away from home. It had luxury amenities like the steam shower and hot tub and all you needed to cook great meals in the large open kitchen. The views where truly amazing during the day and into the night. I also like the proximity to downtown Breckenridge, it's a short drive and in nice weather it is an easy walk along the scenic Blue River bike trail into town. Though I'm not a skier there were plenty of other fun things we did including a great dog sledding ride with Good Times Adventures. I highly recommend the Morning Star Lodge for its comfort, location and amenities and we all look forward to going there again this summer and trying out the fly fishing, biking and other summer activities.
Another amazing visit to Morning Star Lodge! We enjoyed our time there last summer so much we visited again in January for a family ski vacation – truthfully I don’t know which season was more beautiful! Morning Star’s stunning mountain views, perfect location, spacious rooms made a first class base of operations … and the massive hot-tub was the perfect ending to fun-filled days exploring the slopes, beautiful downtown Breck and the many fun things to do. If you have kids – don’t miss Carter Park (perfect sledding in downtown Breck) and Frisco Adventure Park! We’ve already booked for our summer visit and can’t wait!
AWESOME!!! I took my two boys, ages 12 and 10, and met my brother, his family and my mother for three days and four nights in Breckenridge. It was the first opportunity for my boys, my niece(5) and nephew(4) to meet the ski slopes with my niece(8 mths) to look on. With all the activities going on it was great to stay at Morning Star Lodge. The views from the great room, kitchen and balcony were breathtaking, especially on clear mornings where you could see the snow covered mountain range. The abundance of room within Morning Store Lodge provided a venue that allowed us to spend time together catching up on our lives and yet provided many areas for solitude, peace and quiet rest. The location of Morning Star Lodge allowed us to be in town in minutes yet kept us out of the hustle and bustle of the town itself. This is the second time we have stayed at Morning Star Lodge and although my boys want to move there, which I would love to but can't, we will be returning to Morning Star Lodge soon and frequently. If visiting Breckenridge there is no better place to stay than Morning Star Lodge.
My family and I stayed at the Morningstar lodge this last July for a family wedding in Breckenridge. This was recommended by a friend of mine, and it more than lived up to the hype. It was everything you want in a vacation rental; spacious, clean, well furnished, great and convenient location for walks or bike rides into town, comfortable beds and awesome showers. We liked it so much we actually had a hard time leaving the house to go see the rest of beautiful Breckenridge! The house is big, so if you have a bigger group or just want to have 5 start accommodations without any issues, this is the spot. We will definitely return for another visit, and we'd recommend this to anyone looking to explore Breckenridge. By far the best VRBO or AirBNB experience we've had. The owners are great people and the staff at Visit-Breck was super friendly and helpful. A+ all around.
Mourning Star Lodge is the perfect retreat. I have used it twice for my family. We had a total of eight from baby to senior. Everyone had their special place plus we had large group areas for eating, conversation and playing games. The kitchen is ideal for one cook or six. I stayed lodgeside to babysit so others could ski/fish. This retreat provided lots of opportunities to keep the little ones occupied all while I could enjoy beautiful mountain views from each room. We hope to return each year as our schedule allows. Plus I plan a "Grandmas' Get-a-way" the shopping, dining, and spaing in town are fun.
I stayed here as part of a company offsite. The house is gorgeous and accommodated our group very well. While very spacious and grand, the home is also cozy and friendly. For meals, we used the amazing (and well stocked) kitchen to prepare breakfast and for lunch and dinner we'd pop into town (a short drive). i couldn't reccomend the Morning Star Lodge more for work and/or play.
I've stayed at the cabin several times, and I can't say enough about the location, high quality finishes/amenities and comfort. Well-stocked kitchen for both serious cooks and "weekend brunch-makers" alike, super comfortable beds, plenty of space for several couples with lots of privacy. It's just a quick drive to main street Breck, close to the ski hills, very convenient access to the only "real" grocery store, fitness center/gym, and has a fantastic view of the peaks. Great spot!
My family and I have been coming to Breckenridge for years and are so very happy we found the Morning Star Lodge! This is the most beautiful mountain home I’ve ever seen. Though it is located literally within minutes of everything you’d want to do in Breckenridge, it’s intimate setting provides spectacular views of the entire ski-area from the comfort of its vast deck off the main floor. The home is perfectly maintained and brilliantly appointed in a cozy cabin-comfortable way. We slept 8 with lots of room to spare, had family dinners at the great table, soaked in the huge hot tub, and watched for shooting stars while warming by the fireplace on the back deck. We’ve already booked next year’s family vacation at the Morning Star Lodge and we can’t wait!!
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at this home in Breckinridge! We had eight people in our party (4 adults, 4 children 12 and up). The home was incredibly spacious with room for everyone to spread out. We used every room. The game room was great for gane watching, family card games, shuffleboard and more! We cooked a lot in the kitchen. It had everything we needed was a great place for all to hang out. All bedrooms has very comfortable beds and linens - fantastic! It is very close to Main Street and skiing. In the summer it would be great to walk. There isn't a bus service to the house, so in winter months you would need car (or some other transportation plan). The windows all throughout the home provided amazing views day and night! Also it was super easy to book, check-in and depart. VisitBreck provided great service and made travel plans easy. Loved the app! We definitely plan to return. We did not want to leave!
House was large and well maintained. Great location, and easy to find. Jacuzzi, internet, TV's, DVD players, and everything in the kitchen all worked well.
