We enjoyed the most comfortable stay in this rustic upscale penthouse condo. There was plenty of room for our party of 12 yet it was very cozy. Enjoyed the wood burning fireplace every day, and the view of the mountain was awesome. Thick granite countertops and custom cabinetry made kitchen and bar area especially welcoming! Lots of attention to interior detail; it did not feel like we were staying in a rental unit. Easy walk to town; closest possible location to ski rental and lifts. Restaurants, hot tubs, sauna...everything right there. We would definitely stay here again.
It is true what they say... Location, location, location! This is a unique property since it is a rare 6 b/6.5 bath accommodation. We were out for some spring skiing with 5 other couples. This unit provided enough room for private getaway time yet with a full kitchen and also a bar area we had ample room for meals together, relaxing in the main room and even sharing our ski pictures and videos on the big screen TV for evening fun. We had several meals in (all 12) very comfortable for all and also took the short walk to town for dinner or lunch. Since this is a large unit with a double balcony you can start your mornings with a cup of coffee while enjoying the quiet panoramic view of the mountains as they groom the slopes. You are also steps from your locker to grab skis and be on the first lift out for amazing skiing! The decor is rustic lodge style - homey and comfortable. A perfect place for adult couples or families. The kitchen was large enough for several cooks in the kitchen and we easily prepared meals for 12 with room for multiple cooks. (Nice grocery and liquor store a 5 minute drive) After a long day of skiing several of us went down and sat in one of the 5 hot tubs and soaked sore quads. There is also an indoor/outdoor pool area which we didn't use but several kids were having a great time. *Special features of unit include Keurig machine, wine refridge, large bar area, fireplace, VIEW! Our group took a day off from skiing and made the 40 minute drive over to Vail for a day of window shopping and some live music. Also a drive out to Keystone Inn for a nice dinner was not too far to travel. As much as we loved this trip, everyone kept saying that it was almost better in the summer -- we will return soon to The Penthouse at Beaver Run - maybe bring the teenagers on the next trip!
This penthouse could not have been more perfect for our group. We had six couples, a total of twelve people and it was just the right size for us. We each had our own room in case we wanted privacy but the penthouse also had a very spacious living area and kitchen where we could all comfortably visit and cook in. The view of the mountains from the penthouse is spectacular and we all enjoyed sitting out on the balcony and watching the other skiers and beautiful sunsets. The kitchen was well equipped and we had a lot of fun cooking meals together. The unit also has a wonderful fireplace which we used every night and plenty of comfortable seating for everyone. We loved the fact that it was so close to the slopes, you can walk out of the building and right onto the chairlift. We didn't get a chance to use the pool and hot tub while we were there but we were amazed at all the amenities Beaver Run had to offer such as the spa, game room and indoor outdoor swimming pool. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a ski vacation or mountain retreat.
The Beaver run resort is a great location. We liked the room and the view.
I chose Beaver Run Resort because it is located at the base of Peak 9, right at the Beaver Run Super Chair. This turned out to be an extra blessing for us, as my son was sick the first two days, and my daughter and I were able to ski and periodically check on him. Service was pleasant and beds comfortable.
