Bear Lodge is Awesome

Bear Lodge is everything you could ask for in a family vacation. There is so much room - not just for sleeping but also two congregation areas and a dining table for 12 when you want to be together. The furnishings are right out of a catalog for what a mountain should look like. Very short drive into town but seems very isolated. Great outdoor area with fire pit for campfire evenings. Playground for the small ones. Has all the electronics even though we never turned on the TV. Wi-fi works great. Decent cell phone signal. From the six year old to the grandparent, everyone wants to come back for another week at Bear Lodge!!!!

Summer Getaway Spot

Perfectly located for just about any outdoor activity in Colorado. I did lots of fishing and hiking and couldn't have loved it more. And the house is beautiful. Spacious and relaxing with beautiful views. There's plenty of space outside to roam and read. Even got to do a little painting. Wonderful stay.

Exceptional!

Our experience at Bear Lodge was exceptional! The house is spacious, comfortable and accommodating for multiple families. We loved staying together in one home, but enjoyed everyone having plenty of their own space. The views from inside the house are breathtaking. We left feeling refreshed and recharged. We enjoyed every aspect of this home, and look forward to planning our next visit!

Great Stay!

Had a great week at this property, great location and beautiful views from all around the house. Lots activitys to do around town, kept the kids entertained. There's just nothing quite like beautiful Colorado in the summer, would definitely like to return to this property and would recommend it to my friends!

Perfect ski retreat

We loved staying here. Have been before and wanted to come back. Property is under new management and cleaning staff and it shows! We had 3 families total with kids 9-15 and it was great. Love the spectacular views. Kids loved the hills for sledding. Easy to drive to gondola and ski. Love the peace here!! We will definitely be back. Top notch!!

Incredible Retreat

Have loved coming here year after year and soaking in the glorious views in this incredible log home. Easily accommodates multiple families and the surrounding property creates a sanctuary of privacy and wildlife. Close to everything outdoors and town too.

Georgia

Me and my family continually come back here every summer and it is the most beautiful house up here. This property in 11 acres of beauty and serenity. The new cleaning crew has done an amazing job cleaning up this beauty up mountain home. All of the bad reviews of this home are totally not true. It is amazing and I will continue to come to this home for as long as I can. Me and my friends and family love this home and appreciate everything it has to offer.

Bear Lodge

I have been privileged to stay at Bear Loge many times over the last several years, and have found it to be one of the most spacious, comfortable, beautiful homes I have stayed in----particularly in a resort area. I am retuning the end of August for about 5 days, and looking forward to being back in a welcoming, warm, home.

Beware

Absolutely do not stay in this house. 1) The whole house had a septic problem and we had the maintenance people out twice (in a 5 day trip) and they blew us off the first time. They came back the second time and found a problem but would not disclose the issue. 2) Only half the outlets work in the entire house. 3) Major water pressure issues. Water will stop running in showers if more than 2 people are taking showers. 4) Property management obviously did not check house before we showed up because they had to come replace multiple light bulbs in the house, mainly kitchen. 6) Property management didn't check any of the fireplaces because neither of 2 gas fireplaces would work. Structurally nice house. Nice pictures on VRBO. Do not pay to stay here. Owners of this place please contact me to discus.

Comments

We have the following comments, the house was very poorly cleaned up and all the furniture is in bad shape including the chairs, of the dinning room. The sofas of the living room was very dirty , all tbe windows need maintenance. The kitchen and all the items are so dirty we have to clean up everthing. The oven was useless because it was so dirty even the dishwasher. We stayed at this house in other years about 10 years ago and tbe house was amazing so thats the reason to compare it. We want to stay in this house because the experience so we were a little dissapointment. We expect that you take this comments like a constructuvily critiscm.

Amazing House, Great Customer Service, Extremely helpful staff.

The team at VisitBreck was absolutely fantastic to deal with from start to finish. After we completed our booking, they were helpful in supplying information for Equipment rentals and lift tickets. All in all, it was a fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend VisitBreck for future visits.

Terrific Choice!

A perfectly comfortable, unique, and well-equipped home rental for our rather large group of 9 men, with suitable bedding for all. Couples would be able to include more people with same level of comfort. Only thing 'lacking' is large TV in living room area; but nice one in 'billiard room' downstairs. Enjoyed just 'crashing' at end of vigorous ski days, surprisingly opting for cooking/grilling in on two of our nights instead of driving the 5 minutes into Breck.

Awesome vacation spot

We thoroughly enjoyed the home and its surroundings. I loved the fact that it was not in the middle of town. The acreage was nice to explore and the setting was just beautiful. We are looking to rent this home again.

Wonderful memories

We took this trip with children, no grandchildren, because our son that is in the marines is being deployed to afghanistan in 2 weeks. He was home for his pre-deployment leave and we wanted to get away from the Texas heat, go to the mountains, and have some quiet, quality time with him before he leaves. The home was absolutely beautiful, spacious enough for everyone to have their privacy, decorated so tastefully, and the views were incredible. We hope to all go back when he comes home from afghanistan and stay in the same home.
